Abstract

This study aims to develop a guide for the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) cooperative learning model based on the values of Pancasila to foster discipline among students and improve compliance with rules and regulations at the Ar-Rahmaniyyah Islamic Boarding School in Sukabumi. This study was motivated by the need for an innovative and contextual character education approach within the pesantren environment, particularly in instilling the values of discipline and national awareness. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) based on the Borg and Gall model, which includes a preliminary study, product design, expert validation, revision, limited and extensive pilot testing, and effectiveness analysis. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research results indicate that the developed guide is highly feasible based on expert evaluation and effective in enhancing students’ discipline. This is evidenced by an increase in the average score from 63.44 on the pretest to 80.31 on the posttest. Additionally, the values of Pancasila are contextualized and internalized in the daily lives of the students. This study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of Pancasila-based character education and a practical contribution in the form of a learning guide that can be applied in Islamic boarding schools and similar educational institutions.
